SkyDrive cloud storage
What this feature does
When you
sign in with a Microsoft account on your device, you can choose to
automatically save certain content and settings to Microsoft servers so you’ll
have a backup if something happens to your device.
Information collected, processed, stored, or transmitted
During
setup, if you choose to use SkyDrive for cloud storage, Windows will
automatically send content to Microsoft servers, including:
·
Photos and videos on your device that are
saved to the camera roll folder.
·
Settings that are specific to your device
and not shared between your devices.
·
Descriptive info about your device, like
the device name and type.
You may
also choose to save additional content such as personal files on Microsoft
servers, and apps may choose to select Microsoft servers as the default save
location for your files.
Use of information
Windows
uses this content to provide the cloud storage service. Microsoft doesn't use
your content or information to identify, contact, or target advertising to you.
Choice and control
If you choose to use the default
SkyDrive settings while setting up your PC, Windows will save the content
described in this section to SkyDrive. You can change these settings at any
time in the SkyDrive section of PC
settings.
